These cottages are situated in Parsac a village off the N145 between Gueret and Montlucon. The village has a bar, small shop and two bakeries. Only 5 km from the town of Gouzon, which has all amenities, supermarket, bank, chemist etc.

.The 2 cottages are joined at right-angles sharing the garden and pool. Sleeps 13 in total.

Large cottage 2 Doubles, 1 twin, I sofa bed (not in main lounge)

Small cottage 1 Double, 1 triple (single bed and full size bunks)

Chez Nancy is situated in the Creuse, a rural and picturesque area of France that remains a simple and discreet region with many hidden treasures to discover There are 3810 km of rivers and 3000 hectares of lakes and pools in the region, with forests and fields galore. The Creuse is a haven of tranquility.

The cottages have separate front entrance doors but the back doors both lead onto the same garden and pool area. The swimming pool is 7m by 4 m, fully equipped with loungers, chairs, garden swing seat, parasols etc .The outside dining area is beneath the boughs of an old pear tree which gives a romantic atmosphere (pears fall in August so some care to be taken)

The large cottage consists of a large lounge/dining area/ kitchen. Comfortably equipped with Satellite TV. The lounge has a large fireplace, constructed from local granite. The dining area has a huge traditional carved French dresser and matching dining table and chairs. The kitchen is equipped with, washing machine, cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer.

There is a separate sitting room with a small verandah overlooking the street. It is well furnished and has a double sofa bed, bookcase with books and boxed games.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, 2 double and 1 twin. One room overlooks the countryside the others the village. There is a large bathroom with loo, sink, bidet, bath with shower attachment (low ceilings mean that taller people would need to shower in the downstairs bathroom, in the small cottage)

The small cottage comprises of accommodation all on one level, it is simply furnished with a small lounge with log burning stove. The kitchen is small, with cooker, microwave and fridge. There is a large porch that leads through to the bathroom which has loo, bidet sink and shower.There are two small bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other room has 1 single bed and a set of full size bunks.
The garden has plenty of furniture and a BBQ. To the front of the cottage there is further space to sit in the evening sun and have a game of table tennis, the table can be used in the spacious garage or outside.

How Do I get there?

The location of the cottages is 55km drive from the A71, you will need to exit at junction10 heading for Montlucon. Then take the N145 towards Gueret, take the right turn off to Parsac which is 5 km beyond Gouzon, just past Parsac gare.

There are daily flights to Limoges and Cleremont Ferrand from Standsted, both are just 1 hour 15 minutes away.
