This lovely cottage has been recently restored to a good standard, and is situated in Chatenet, a small village 20 minutes from Bourganeuf. The nearest supermarket is 20 minutes away in the town of Bourganeuf which is a beautiful thriving small town with a wonderful Chateau and a variety of shops and a lively market every Wednsesday. There are a selection of bars and restaurants and a pizza house which offer good value for money lunches and dinners. "Chez Nous", an Auberge is just on the outskirts of Bourganeuf, it is sign-posted off to the left just before reaching Bourganeuf in Masbaraud-Merignat, and provides basic French country food, in great volume! You will need to make a reservation, it is a set price and limited choice but an experience! |

The cottage has on the ground floor a large lounge/dining room with French television plus English television for playing your videos and DVDs, wonderful fireplace and wood burning stove for winter letting, and a fully fitted kitchen with gas cooker, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, kettle, toaster and a coffee making machine. A door leads from the kitchen to the patio and also the large gardens mainly laid to lawn with shrubs. |

Upstairs there are 2 large bedrooms one double and one twin, and a bathroom with Bath, Large shower cubicle, wash hand basin and toilet. |

This is a good area for walking , fishing and cycling. 10 minutes drive will bring you to Saint Diziere Leyrenne where there is a 10 hectares community lake where it is possible to swim, windsurf or fish or play tennis. Of course a visit to Limoges is essential. The capital of the Limousin region and famous for its fine and unique porcelain.

How Do I get there? |
|
The location of the Cottage 20km (20 mins) from Bourganeuf and approx 40 minutes from the A20 (which is part of the main route through from Orleans to Toulouse). By air there are now direct flights from Stansted Airport, London to Poitiers and Limoges, being operated by Ryanairlines and there is car hire available at the airports. Limoges is approx 1 hour away. |
