Experience life on our organic farm. We are French farmers and members of Accueil Paysan which covers all agricultural activities.
Wake up to the sound of ducks, geese, chickens and come and see our donkeys - at the moment we have 16 of them, take one for a walk if you like, or let your children have a ride on one. You have all probably seen a traditional bread oven (pain au four) but have you ever seen one that is actually being used to bake bread - bread is baked 4 days a week on the farm and fresh produce is available - eggs, cheese, honey, jam, cider and apple juice. The farm is situated in the wonderful countryside of Creuse, Limousin, only 3 kms from the nearest town of Pontarion with all necessary amenities, bakers, restaurant, etc. and 25kms south of Gueret. Limoges is 60 km and Aubusson 30 km

The gite has been constructed with natural materials – the stonework was pointed with a lime mix, the timbers of the roof came from the plateau of Millevache, the insulation in the roof from sheep’s wool, the flooring is chestnut parquet, natural paints and varnish were used, and treatment of all wood was with linseed oil. |

The gite rural is situated on the farm where we live. The building is independent to our house and has its own terrace with garden furniture and B.B.Q.. |

The accommodation is all on the first floor and is accessed by an independent exterior staircase. The room is open plan and on a split level with a corner kitchen area, providing sink and cooker, table and 4 chairs . The red brick chimney (from the bread oven below) separates the room, so to one side there is a double bed and sitting area with videos, books etc and to the other side are 2 single beds, and a separate shower room with toilet and wash hand basin. The gite is heated for out of season use.

How Do I get there? |

The location of the Farm is 25km (25 mins) south of Gueret which can be reached from the A20 (which is part of the main route through from Orleans to Toulouse). |
