This 18th Century Farmhouse is situated in the Haute-Vienne, in the heart of the unspoilt countryside  of the Limousin and brimming with wildlife.  Set in a  friendly hamlet within 45 mins of  Limoges Airport.

The Haute Vienne is a department where traditions are still very much part of daily life.  A particular attraction lies in the variety of its landscapes, which range from wooded slopes of the Basse-Marche to the rugged peaks of the Grands Monts.  Here you can savour the beauties of nature at a leisurely pace on foot, on horseback or by bicycle, and on the way discover the picturesque charm of the little known villages such as Mortemart, Blond and Nedde. You will be surprised by the number of Romanesque chapels, fortified churches, chateaux and sturdy castles, not to mention the warm hospitality of the regions many family-owned inns.

Of course a visit to Limoges is essential.  The capital of the Limousin region and famous for its fine and unique porcelain.

Only 2 km (2 minutes) from the nearest town of Coussac-Bonneval which has all necessary amenities and 15 minutes from the beautiful town of St. Yrieix-la-Perche.

Watersport enthusiasts will find all they need in the well-equipped beached lakes to utilise their energy, or just relax.  Many lakes being ideal locations for fishing as are the lovely rivers in the area.


 

This  traditional detached farmhouse on 2.5 acres is set in open countryside at the end of a small hamlet and with wonderful views of the countryside.  It has been newly renovated and decorated.  The kitchen/Diner/Lounge is equipped with Microwave, Ceramic Hob, Fridge,  table and chairs, 2 x settees and English television,  has a fireplace with wood burning stove and there are electric/oil heaters throughout.


 

 

 

On the ground floor there are also a double bedroom, single bedroom (with washing machine) and bathroom with victorian free standing bath, toilet and wash hand basin.

 

 

Upstairs is a totally open area with wonderful beams and exposed stonework, it has an additional  lounge area to one end with settee, arm-chairs and French television and to the other double bedroom area.

There is a large barn, ideal for storage and the garden is enclosed with a number of fruit trees and wonderful views, and a wooden table and benches.

How Do I get there?


The location of the farmhouse is 45km (40 mins) drive south from Limoges Airport and 40 km from Limoges

By air there are now direct flights from Stansted Airport, London to  Limoges, being operated by Ryanairlines and
there is car hire available at the airport.
