Situated in a quiet village 10 minutes from Bourganeuf, these self-contained units are set in approximately 5 acres of grounds offering peace and tranquillity and wonderful views. Set in the truly picturesque countryside of the Limousin, yet within 40 mins of the A20, the main Paris/Orleans/Toulouse route. The private grounds have been landscaped by the English owners so that the units are well spaced from each other giving privacy to all. There are many attractions in the area with Chatelus-le-Marchiex which has a 35 hectare lake used for swimming, wind-surfing, sailing, and fishing only 15 minutes away. In summer months there is a Cafe/Pizza place open beside the lake for refreshments. You can also hire boats/canoes from the Pont de Dognon 25 minutes away. Only 35 minutes away is the 1000 hectare lake of Vassiviere where together with its watersport facilities you can enjoy a gourmet cruise aboard the "Vassiviere" for lunch or evening meal (available from Easter until October) For restaurants, choose from St. Goussaud (25 mins), St. Sauviat sur Vige (10 mins), Ambazac (25 mins), Bourganeuf (10 mins), St. Leonard de Noblat (15 mins) all offer excellent menus from 10 euros. For nature lovers there are hides for otter watching, and bird watching in close proximity. Walks in the local woods reveal a myriad of flaura and fauna, deer and wild pigs, wild flowers in the spring and summer and wild mushrooms and chestnuts in the autumn. Les Loup de Chabrieres (Forest of Wolves) on the outskirts of Gueret is well worth a visit as well as the Labrynth (Maze). Of course you should not leave without visiting Oradour-sur-Glane . |

There is a large shower room and separate W.C. The large kitchen is equipped with full size cooker, fridge/freezer, and microwave and the lounge/dining area has French doors leading out onto the patio area, where garden furniture is supplied. (Inclusive of gas) 4 BERTH CARAVAN - (7 metres) Offers a double bedroom with a double bed of 120cm x 200 cm, plus additional double bed facilities in the lounge. There is mains electric and mains water and gas blow air heating, making it suitable for all year round use. There is a separate shower room/W.C with flushing toilet. The kitchen has a 4 ring gas hob, oven, microwave and fridge, and there is a lounge/dining area with folding table. It has an awning providing additional living space in summer and garden table and chairs are provided. 2 BERTH CARAVAN - (5 metres) Offers combined lounge/bedroom facilities, and has a large shower/W.C. The kitchen is equipped with 2 burner gas hob plus hot plate, oven, fridge and microwave. An awning is provided to give additional living space in summer together with garden table and chairs. |
