There is plenty to do in this area, which conveniently borders Poitou-Charentes and the Limousin department.  A short drive away, you will find the Parc Naturel Brenne. In this nature reserve you will be able to engage in an abundance of outdoor activities such as fishing, cycling, horse riding, walking, boating, bird watching, rock climbing, archery, or just plain sight-seeing.  The visitors centre is based at Hameau de Bouchet Rosnay (www.parc-naturel-brennefr/english).

 Several rivers (the Gartempe and Vienne among them) meander their way through the area, and this means that there is no lack of quiet and scenic places ideal for a picnic or a cooling swim.

The historic and picturesque town of Montmorillon , where you will find shops, superstores, cafés and restaurants, and which hosts a market every Wednesday, is only an 8 minute drive away.

 The English couple who live in the village and look after my visitors have a wealth of local knowledge and will be able to advise you on all the local things of interest and help you with anything you need.

Bed linen and towels are not provided, but can be hired if required.

Electricity is inclusive in the summer months but will be extra in out of season months
