Delightful Studio Apartment sleeps 2-4, on lower floor of beautiful 16th century cottage, in Limousin, Central/South West France. We are situated a five minute walk from Lussac les Eglises, a small village in an area known for its forests and lakes.

There is one double sleigh bed, one double sofa bed (sprung) and one single bed. It is a large room with a huge ancient fireplace, Satellite TV, a dining table which can seat 4/6 (extendable) and a kitchen area with cooker, sink and cupboards, a fridge/freezer, washing machine and a microwave. All cutlery and crockery are in place. The shower room is brand new and there is a separate wc. We have a Video and DVD player with films, also radiators and wood burner for winter warmth.
The garden, which is shared with the owners, is very pretty with a stream running along the bottom. In the summer we have a freestanding plunge pool for cooling off in and a decked area for barbecues facing the stream.

We are just over one hour from Poitiers which has a Theme Park called Futuroscope. This makes a great day out for adults and kids alike. We are around 45 minutes from Limoges with its porcelain factories and shops. Also near to Oradour sur Glane a town destroyed by the Nazi’s in WW2 and preserved just as it was on that day.

This house is ideal for a relaxed, country holiday, a place to read lots of books and recharge your batteries and have long walks or bike rides (two bikes available for hire)
Alternatively, if you were thinking of moving to this area, it would make a great base from which to discover Limousin and find that special home of your own. This area is still one of the cheapest in France for houses. We obviously have our own home moving experiences to share if you would like, and know a few English-speaking estate agents in the area

We regret that we are unable to have dogs to stay, much as we love them we have two cats, one of whom is terrified of dogs. Humans, however, are extremely welcome. This includes children, although small children would need to be supervised because of the stream at the bottom of the garden.

How Do I get there?

The location of the Appartment is approx 30 mins drive from the A20 (which is the main route through from Paris to Toulouse).
You will need to exit at Junction 22.

You would need a car to reach places of interest, which you could hire from the airports, or you could drive down from the Ports. It takes around 7+ hours from Calais or around 5+ hours from Le Havre. Ryanair fly daily from Stansted to Limoges and to Poitiers. Flybe will be flying from Southampton to Limoges from May of 2004.
Alternatively this area can be reached by train.
