Fishery Description
A very tranquil fishing venue set in its own secluded 12-acre parkland, which is surrounded by beautiful countryside and forests.
This 4.5 acre lake is fed by 4 freshwater springs of which 2 are constant all year. There is an island that is full of trees. Around the margins are different types of reeds including yellow Iris and also presend are small beds of watercress. Between the swims on the grass banks are various types of trees, these are Alders and Silver Birch with some Willows and Oak. The lake bottom varies from a clean course gravel to silt.

This lovely gite has been recently restored to a good standard, and is situated in Azat-Chatenet, a small village 20 minutes from Bourganeuf or Gueret.
The nearest supermarket is 20 minutes away in the town of Bourganeuf which is a beautiful thriving small town with a wonderful Chateau and a variety of shops and a lively market every Wednsesday. In Bourganeuf there are a selection of bars and restaurants and a pizza house which offer good value for money lunches and dinners. "Chez Nous", an Auberge is just on the outskirts of Bourganeuf, it is sign-posted off to the left just before reaching Bourganeuf in Masbaraud-Merignat, and provides basic French country food, in great volume! You will need to make a reservation, it is a set price and limited choice but an experience! This is a good area for walking, fishing and cycling. 10 minutes drive will bring you to Saint Diziere Leyrenne where there is a 10 hectares community lake where it is possible to swim, windsurf or fish or play tennis. The accommodation consists of a kitchen/diner with a sofa that can adapt to a double bed and wood burning stove plus electric radiator. The kitchen is equipped with free standing gas cooker and fridge with ice box, table and chairs. There is a laundry room for guests to use. There is a large shower-room and separate toilet with wash hand basin. There is free to view English TV and Radio, and a Playstation 2 so that you can watch your DVD's, listen to your CD's or play your games. Upstairs you will find 2 x twin bedrooms with electric radiators.
