Lovely farmhouse set in 7 acres offering lovely comfortable accommodation with rustic charm.

Situated near Bellac and Magnac Laval and A20.

 Ideally placed for a stop-off for those travelling further south and house hunters who just require quick stopover.

For those who require more freedom and space we also have a gite available. Sleeps 2/4.

 

 

 

 

 

                             

The spacious bedroom has lovely pine furniture, en-suite shower room, tea and coffee making facilities, radio/ CD player, towels and hairdryer. There is a connecting twin room for those with family.

 

A continental breakfast can be taken in the beautiful family dining room or on the terrace overlooking the stunning view across the valley.

  

 

 

 

The farmhouse is 15 minutes away from the A20 and 5 kms from Magnac Laval where there is a supermarket, hairdressers, doctors and dentist, bars, tabacs and a restaurant. There are several more restaurants in the vicinity catering for everyone’s taste and pocket but a car is essential. We are 45 minutes away from Limoges airport, an hour away from Poiters airport and there are train stations at La Souterraine and Le Dorat, 20 minutes and 10 minutes away respectively.

 Limousin is a beautiful region with lakes and rivers, forests and parcs, chateaux and churches, incredible history, architecture and culture.  It is a walkers paradise with the Blond mountains nearby and for the water enthusiasts there is the 800 acre lake at Pardoux.

 We have Limoges and Poitiers for the shoppers and the museum and culture buffs amongst you and where you can find a great cosmopolitan selection of restaurants. The locals are very friendly and helpful and will always greet you with a friendly ‘bonjour’.

  The Limousin is getting more and more popular and people return again and again for re-visits.

How Do I get there? 

 

The location of the cottage is 12km (10 mins) drive from the A20 (which is part of the main route through from Orleans to Toulouse).
You will need to exit at Junction 23 heading for Magnac Laval.

The ports of Le Havre and Calais are between 5 and 7 hours away, Limoges and Poitiers airports are about 1 hour away and there is an excellent rail service from Waterloo to Poitiers via Lille or Paris.
