La Geneste is 3km northeast of Chamberet, set in a quite hamlet with stunning views of the French countryside. The gite is a new barn conversion and can accommodate 8 people. It is well furnished with electric heating throughout. The ground floor is open plan, consisting of kitchen, lounge, dining area and WC The kitchen is fully equipped including refrigerator and dishwasher. There is sufficient crockery for up to 12 people, allowing for the chambre d'hote rooms to be added to the gite for larger parties. The lounge and dining area has a large dining table and chairs, comfortable seating and for autumn and winter a log burning stove There is a TV, DVD and stereo along with a small selection of DVDs and games. |

There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the first floor of the gite with a balcony overlooking the lounge area. Two of the rooms have double beds and two have twin beds. |

For ease of use we have two Bathrooms. The first bathroom has a basin, shower and WC, the second bathroom has a basin, bath and WC.

The gite, chambre d'hote (bed and breakfast) and family home are set in quiet garden surroundings in a rural hamlet, with open views to the local village of Chamberet, three kilometres away. La Geneste is located in a farming area so the sheep, chickens and famous Limousin cattle tend to oversee what we are doing...(but very few people - this is the least densely populated region of France) There are many local planned walks and cycle routes to make the most of the beautiful countryside. Pets are welcome but must be well behaved around other animals. |
