La Grange is peacefully set in beautiful and unique gardens which the owners invite you to explore and enjoy as you wish.  Why not try a game of Shove Ha'penny or Boules?  Or perhaps you would prefer simply to laze in the hammock with a drink and a book.  An unusual original feature of the garden is an old stone fireplace where you can light a fire and enjoy a glass of wine under the stars.  There is also a charming private garden for the exclusive use of guests, equipped with a table, chairs, sunloungers and a barbeque.

There is ample parking.

There is shared use of the owners' secluded above groud pool (5.5m diameter) but please be aware that guests use it at their own risk.

The closest village is Mainsat, which is a ten minute drive away.  Here you will find a small supermarket, a post office, a bakers and a butchers.  There is also a tabac and a takeaway parlour.

The small town of Auzances is a twenty minute drive.  Here you can find a range of shops, a selection of bars and an informal bar/restaurant serving snacks and light meals.  There is a large, well stocked supermarket.

Aubusson, famous as the home of tapestry which is celebrated in its museum, is half an hour away and offers a wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants.  There are two large supermarkets.

There are some pretty swimming lakes nearby;  the closest is a ten minute drive and offers a small beach and open air restaurant serving lunch and dinner.  There is an annual music festival catering for every taste  held here during August.  Fishing lakes are easily accessed - temporary permits are available locally.
