Le Masbeau is a small family establishment situated in a hamlet deep in the heart of the Limousin countryside.

We can offer accommodation in our newly refurbished farmhouse with its carefully retained character.
The place is entirely independent and the swimming pool is only shared with the owner's family composed of the parents and 2 teenage children.

The accommodation is provided in spacious en suite bedrooms with additional games and leisure facilities, sitting room, and swimming pool.

If your requirements are nothing more than eating good food, taking a slow saunter along the picturesque lanes or relaxing by the swimming pool, then these are at your disposal.

The children will be completely safe , as there is plenty of secluded private space indoors and outdoors.
In the barn next to the farmhouse there is a large playroom which has indoor basketball, volleyball, table tennis and where other games can be played .

Tennis can be played down the road, horse riding and event hunting (in season) are available by prior arrangement as well as fishing, either in the rivers and public lakes with a permit , or in a private lake for a daily fee, only 10 mins away from Le Masbeau.

Down the road is a 10 hectares community lake where it is possible to swim, windsurf or fish.

The farmhouse can accommodate 10 or 12 people.
On the first floor there are 3 double bedrooms all with en-suite toilet, shower and wash hand basin. Two of them have a double bed plus bunk beds, and the third one has a double bed .
Two more people can sleep in the common part on sofa beds with no extra charge, and they would have access to the en-suites without having to go through any bedroom.

The front door leads into the Dining room with large farmhouse table and chairs, dresser and wonderful fireplace with a wood-burning stove installed. The kitchen is to the rear of the dining room and is equipped with cooker, hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, washing machine and dishwasher.

The sitting room with French T.V.is on the first floor and all bedrooms lead off from this.

Outside there is adequate parking to the front of the gite and a new decked patio area in the private back garden, which has lovely views of the countryside, and a new private rear access to the swimming pool. The 11m x 6m swimming pool with its spectacular views of the Creuse countryside has a removeable low glass sliding shelter in place which, as well as being a safety factor with regard to children, will also have a glass house effect and heat the water so that the pool can be used for swimming in months other than high and peak season.

How Do I get there?

The location of the farmhouse is 30km (35 mins) drive from the A20 (which is part of the main route through from Orleans to Toulouse).
You will need to exit at Junction 23.1 heading for Grand Bourg in the direction of Bourganeuf.

By air there are now direct flights from Stansted Airport, London to Poitiers and also to Limoges, being operated by Ryanairlines
and there is car hire available at the airport. Poitiers is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes drive away, and Limoges which is 1 hours drive.

Linen and towels can be hired for 15 euros per room.

Gas and electric is included in the rental fee during the summer months, other months a charge will be made.

Longer lets and out of season lets are available by negotiation.
