Peyrat le Chateau offers all local amenities and there are lakes, beaches and forests all within a few minutes of the gite.

The surrounding area offers beautiful unspoilt beaches, breathtaking scenery and unrivalled fishing so whether it's a relaxing family holiday or an exhausting angling break, everything you could wish for is just around the corner. Come evening, after a busy day, there are several watering holes just a short stagger away where you can unwind and soak up the local ambiance.

Further afield you will find stunning golf courses, mountains and the beautiful city of Limoges, world famous for its historic porcelain industry.

Those guests seeking winter sports are not to be disappointed either - the slopes of Mont Dore are less than 2 hours away by car or special train packages are available during the peak season.

The gite sleeps 5 but extra beds or cots can be provided by prior arrangement.

The garden is being landscaped and the swimming pool is currently under construction - due for completion Summer 2008 - work is progressing slowly!! There is a patio area with barbecue facilities and a fully equipped kitchen in case the weather lets us down.

Satellite TV will enable guests to keep abreast of all the important world events passing them by and never miss an episode of their favourite soap!!

The gite has full oil-fired central heating so guests coming to the Limousin for winter breaks or property hunting can come back to a nice warm house. The double glazed windows and door ensure any heat is kept in during the winter and helps to keep the gite cool and quiet during the summer.

Additional extras

Airport transport can be arranged for guests arriving by plane.

Storage facilities are available by arrangement for those waiting to move into their new home.

How Do I get there?

The location of the House is 30 mins south of Bourganeuf approximately 55 mins drive from the A20 (which is the main route through from Paris to Toulouse).
You will need to exit at Junction 23.1 heading in the direction of Grand Bourg towards Bourganeuf.

By air there are now direct flights from Stansted, Liverpool, East Midlands and Southampton to Limoges, being operated by Ryanairlines and Flybe,
and there is car hire available at the airport. Limoges is approximately 45 minutes drive.
