The gite is in a small hamlet situated approximately 15kms from the N145 (A20 junction 23 Paris-Limoges motorway)  and is in the area of the 3 "Grand Lacs"   where you will be able to fish or let the children play or explore the cycle and walking tracks nearby.   All commerce are approx 6km away in the town of Bonnat, where you will find restaurants, 2 bakers, Ecomarche supermarket, 3 cafes (one with restaurant) 3* Hotel Restaurant, butcher, hardware shop, 3 hairdressers, 2 doctors, pharmacy, Tabac/Paper shop and 2 banks. This is the ideal setting for families and friends looking for tranquillity, comfort, friendly neighbours and lots of local activities.

A Bakers van passes the house every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9.00 a.m. and 9.30 a.m. - you just need to put a notice on the post box that you want them to stop.

This beautifully restored gite has  a  Clevacance 2 star rating  and has been renovated to a very high standard. The shared rear garden extends to just over 1000 sq. metres and has views over the surrounding countryside. Outside there is ample garden furniture,  BBQ and a terrace.

Within a short drive  you have a choice of 3 "Grand Lacs" all with a variety of sandy beaches, slides, water sports, cafes etc. geared to offer everything for the tourist. Horse-riding is 15km, golf 20kms. The whole area is one of rural charm with an abundance of mediaeval villages and small towns. Gueret, the Capital of La Creuse  is just 25kms away, where you will find  an excellent supply of good restaurants at reasonable rates plus Labrynth and Wildlife park.
