Sleeps 4, and is suitable for letting all year round. There are electric radiators in all rooms. The large reception has full length doors overlooking the valley below,  and is comfortably furnished in traditional style. There is also satellite TV

The large kitchen/diner has a fireplace with wood burning stove & is fully equipped with gas stove, microwave and fridge freezer.

The master bedroom is double aspect with a range of built in cupboard and overlooks the valley. The second bedroom has twin beds and overlooks the chateau ruins to the side
 

At its heart is the former Abbey of Saint Pierre, now
the parish church, famous for its magnificently decorated tympanum
carved with a relief of the final judgement. Beaulieu has a
twice-weekly market on Wednesday and Saturday which sells local farm
produce. On the first and third Friday of each month, there's a larger
fair, selling everything from live ducks to dresses. Beaulieu has
three doctors, two pharmacies, four cafés, three bakers, and even a
chocolate maker. There are several good restaurants within easy
distance of Beaulieu, many specializing in traditional local fare.
The countryside around Beaulieu is crisscrossed with footpaths ranging
from a half hour stroll to a day-long hike. Canoes can be rented for
use on the Dordogne river which is nearby. Other activities available
include tennis, fishing and golf. The town of Saint-Céré, 20 kilometres
away, hosts an annual music festival each summer.

There are many things to see and do within about an hour's drive.
These include the Gouffre de Padirac, where visitors can take a boat
trip along a subterranean river; Collonges-la-Rouge is a medieval
village entirely built of the local red granite; Sarlat a flawlessly
preserved medieval town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a
stunning market place. Sarlat's narrow streets and ancient buildings
are well worth a day trip. The towns of Rocamadour and Martel are also
superbly preserved medieval sites with many interesting shops.
 

The owners feel that due to its location it would not be suitable for children under 5 years old

How Do I get there? 

We are approx. 2 hrs drive from Limoges airport and 45 mins from Brive off the A20 autoroute from Paris to Toulouse.  You will need to exit at Junction 52

Linen can be hired if required for £5 per person
