Come and take a memorable break in one of our charming chalets, nestled in wooded countryside and overlooking the picturesque lake of Treignac; voted one of the most beautiful villages in France.

You will find our two self catering chalets are furnished to a high standard, each one consisting of two comfortably-appointed, double/twin bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities. The lounge/dining room with small kitchenette opens onto the terrace which looks onto the magnificent lake and surrounding forest.

We have two lovely wooden chalets to offer, named Chataignier and Chene, which are set in their own private woodland and overlook the stunning lake and forest beyond. Three other similar chalets and a small hotel restaurant make up the total of your neighbours in this secluded spot, yet you are only 3.5km from the town of Treignac.

This is an idyllic situation offering a tranquil, natural environment in which to base your holiday in the Correze, known as Le Pays Vert (The Green Country).

The chalets are set up on the hillside and parking is situated on the roadside below. A short walk up steps into the forest will lead you to your chalet.

YOUR ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation itself comprises two bedrooms, which can be either double or twin, depending upon your requirements. Each is furnished in pine, with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets.

An en-suite bathroom, including shower, w.c. and wash hand basin leads off from each bedroom to give you privacy even whilst sharing your chalet with friends or family.

The living area has comfortable seating for you all to relax in and a dining area with kitchenette to provide for all your self-catering needs.

The terrace at the front of each chalet, which overlooks the lake, is also furnished with a patio table and chairs.

Shopping and Getting Around

Most shops and businesses in France are closed between 12 and 2 for lunch.

The Intermarche supermarket in Treignac is open 6 days a week from 9am until noon and from 2.30pm until 7pm. It is closed on Sundays. Credit cards are accepted.

The G20 supermarket in Chamberet is open 6.5 days a week from 9am until noon and from 2pm until 7pm. It is also open on Sunday mornings. Credit cards are accepted.

Intermarche also has a petrol station and it is always best to fill up your car during the week days as it is very difficult to find an open petrol station on a Sunday or after 7pm, unless you are on a motorway. 24hour petrol stations are unmanned after 7pm and the bankers card system usually only works for French bank accounts and does not accept credit cards.

There are some very good restaurants in the area, one of which is just near the chalets and offers great value lunches and lovely evening meals in pretty surroundings. The four cafe-bars in Treignac are very friendly and are super for just sitting, taking in the atmosphere and watching the world go by.

How Do I get there?

Treignac itself lies just over an hour south-east of Limoges, which has excellent autoroute links to Paris, 4 hours by A20.
You will need to exit at Junction 43 heading for Treignac.

By air there are now direct flights from Stansted Airport, London to Limoges, being operated by Ryanairlines and there is car hire available at the airport; (Limoges is between 45 mins away by car).

The changeover day is Tuesday for Chalet Chene and Saturday for Chalet Chataignier.

Change of bedding and cleaning is on Saturday for Chalet Chene and Tuesday for Chalet Chataignier, therefore we would appreciate you allowing access between 2pm and 4pm.

The chalets must be vacated by noon. Arrivals after 4pm.
